How To Choose Bathroom Furniture? Are you customising a new bathroom or just renovating the old one? No matter what your plans are, choosing the right bathroom furniture is as important as any other home furniture. Putting in new bath cabinets as a part of your bath vanity is a great idea for creating a focal point for setting the right tone and style of the bathroom. There are number of options available when it comes to the selection of bathroom furniture online or at stores. Choose The Right Bathroom Cabinets. Measuring the space to choose the right bathroom cabinet is the foremost thing one should do. Renovation of an existing bathroom might limit your space until and unless you plan to knock down a wall to have more space. And if you are working with a brand-new bathroom, you will need to allocate a certain space to keep your bathroom storage cabinets. Buying online furniture opens the doorway to a lot of options including different colours, designs and materials like wooden furniture.
Drawer units freestanding cupboards shelves with pull-out storage baskets wall cabinets with mirrors full-height units with shelves and/or cupboards. And you don't have to stick to the well-known bathroom brands for furniture – many other stores, including John Lewis and Argos, sell freestanding bathroom furniture and bathroom cabinets. Just check that the furniture is intended for use in the bathroom, as it will be exposed to a lot of moisture and heat. You also don't have to get bathroom furniture. Think also about small-scale solutions that don't involve furniture. For example, would getting a couple of pretty baskets or wire racks to store toiletries work just as well as a cabinet? Again, think about what you will need to store and what space you have. Measure out not only the whole room size but also the 'leftover' space once you have a toilet, sink, bath or shower fitted. Then you'll be able to see what storage you will have room for, which will determine the type you get.
Typically when we start a bathroom renovation we have one tile that we dream of including in our design. Sometimes it is a really special or unique accent tile and sometimes it is as simple as knowing that you want white subway tile. Either way, take that dream tile and use it as the starting point for the other tile you will choose for your bathroom design. Taking your first (must have) choice as a starting point, use it to make the decisions for the other tiles you will include in your design. If your must have is a really unique color or pattern and is going to be the focal point of your design, pull more subtle colors from it to use in your accent tiles. If however your first choice is really plain (like a white subway tile) you may want to add an element of interest with a colorful accent tile or even a smaller scale white penny tile to change it up and add interest.
